No silver today: Amanda Holden tried to forget her previous fashion errors in a flattering optical illusion dress

On the first day of Britain's Got Talent auditions in Manchester, Amanda Holden hit a bum note in an unflattering outfit.
But for Sunday's batch of talented wannabes, she made sure she looked more like her usual groomed self.
The TV talent judge played it safe in an optical illusion dress with red and black panels that gave her a sleek silhouette.

She tied her heavily highlighted hair in to a side ponytail, and wore it over one shoulder.
Amanda kept tugging on the thick bunch of hair a she left her luxury hotel to greet fans who had been patiently waiting to meet the Britain's Got Talent stars.
The 41-year old accessorised carefull with a pair of towering stilettos and a black patent leather handbag.

The 34-year old was wearing heavy eye make-up which added to her retro vibe, and her hair was blow dried in to a voluminous bouffant.
The addition of some studded high heels and a studded necklace means that Aleesha looked right up to date.
However, it was impossible not to notice the heavy bags beneath her eyes, perhaps she had been up all night deliberating if she had put the right acts through to the next round.
Or maybe she was feeling bad about grabbing David Walliams' crotch the day before when they were on stage.
Apparently she made grab for the comedian's crotch as he pulled a camp pose near her.
